Everyone has the right to freely choose their occupation and workplace according to their abilities and qualifications. Forced labour is prohibited. Every employee has the right to receive appropriate remuneration for the work performed, which shall not be less than the minimum set by the State, as well as the right to weekly holidays and paid annual leave.
Staff with the same position and equivalent work tasks should receive the same salary, regardless of their personal characteristics. The Labour Law lays down the prohibition of differential treatment depending on the race, skin colour, age, disability, religious, political or other belief, national or social origin, property or marital status of the employee, sexual orientation or other circumstances.
Example: My colleague does the same job as I, however, they receive a higher salary. Is that fair?
